Square Enix have announced that the remake of Dragon Quest V, called The Hand of the Heavenly Bride, will be available Spring 2009 in Europe and in February for America.

Kingdom Hearts: RE Chain of Memories for the PS2 console is, you guessed it, a remake of Chain of Memories. Updated graphics, battling in 3D, improved soundtrack and voice acting are featured in RE CoM.
The card battle system is pretty much the same but with an addition of the Reaction command from Kingdom Hearts 2.
New cutscenes and battles are included in this version too.
The game is already out in America! It was released on the 2nd of December.

Famitsu have a Dissidia scan blitz going on in their latest issue as the Japanese release date for the game draws near.
QJ.net have translated some of the material in the magazine and it appears that Cloud will have his Advent Children costume as an alternative costume and that Ultros will be a Summon.
Also translations of an interview with the developers of the game have appeared, due to 1Up website.

Fans of the Crystal Chronicles series will be pleased to hear that the next installment of the franchise, Echoes of Time, has been given an official US release date.

If you arent an ardent Final Fantasy XI player, you are probably asking yourself: Shantotto who? It seems that there may be non main characters involved within Dissidia.
The Heroes and Villains have already been announced thats for sure, but this news today, which Square Enix revealed at their FFXI Fan Festival in Japan may see more characters appear from other games too- such as Final Fantasy XII for example.

Those that pre ordered The Last Remnant, also got a special DVD, which contained the opening cinematic for Star Ocean The Last Hope.
The Last Hope will apparently be more sci fi than previous installments with the ability to control your own ship, and travel to different worlds.

The Jump Festa this year should turn out to be quite interesting indeed.
Tetsuya Nomura seemed to promise that there would be gameplay footage of Final Fantasy XIII by the end of this year, and certainly Jump Festa 2009 would be the occasion to see such a thing, one would hope anyway.

The director of the upcoming exclusively timed Xbox 360 game, The Last Remnant, has voiced his opinion on the easiness of making games for a certain platform.
While he stresses that Square Enix, and himself, dont have a particular console of choice, the Xbox 360 certainly lends itself to easy game developing:
"[The Xbox 360 is] really dev friendly, so it was quite a lot of fun to work on the 360 version from a development point of view."
